We are a team of students from the University of Ottawa in hopes of creating a product that helps people who are afraid of flying in planes. The team comprises the following seven students: Amin Arshadi, Karen Dhindsa, Souleymane Diallo, Charlie Haldane, Vincent Préseault, Dominic Salas and Mounira Nihad Zitouni.
This Website was created for the SEG 2900 course for Software Engineering and Computer Science students. The goal was to solve a common problem by creating a product and then making a website to market the product. This will teach us the fundamentals of programming and web design to prepare us for our five CO-OP placements during our degree.
Software engineering is a CO-OP only program that emphasizes innovation and teamwork to develop practical, solution-driven thinking. They learn how to apply engineering principles—including rapid prototyping, requirements analysis, system modelling, design, implementation, testing and project management—to develop software. Software engineers are key professionals in fields such as high tech, finance, telecommunications, government, health care, transportation and entertainment.
Amin Arshadi is from Iran, and his favorite hobby is working out! A fun fact he wants to share is that he doesn't eat breakfast!
This is Vincent Préseault, he's from Sudbury, and his favorite hobby is hunting! A fun fact about himself is that in his past job, he performed science experiments for tourists!
This is Karen Dhindsa, she's from Ottawa, and her hobbies include biking, listening to music, and watching Marvel movies! A cool fact about herself is that she was elected co-president in high school!
This is Mounira Nihad Zitouni, she's from Algeria, and her hobbies include reading about augmented and virtual reality, artificial intellegence, and robotics, volunteering, and playing the saxophone! A cool fact about herself is that she can speak four languages: Arabic, French, English, and Spanish!
This is Souleymane Diallo, and he's from Sénégal! His hobbies are sports and going to the beach! He is hard working and motivated in his studies and his goals! He is taking Software Engineering because he is very interested in new innovations in technology!
This is Charlie Haldane, and he's from Vancouver! He loves playing hockey and a fun fact about himself is that he was in the military!
This is Dominic Salas! He is from Ottawa and his hobbies including gaming and software development, and a fun fact about himself is that he can ride a unicycle! He loves playing football, rugby, and ultimate frisbee!
